5 Players Who Might Play Their Last IPL Season In 2019

The 12th edition of the glamourous Indian Premier League is just around the corner with the auctions to be held on 18 December. All the teams have already started working on their strategy to lift the trophy this year.

Another IPL means another reason for cricket fans to get excited and witness some exciting tournament. However this IPL might also cause them sadness as they might witness some of their cricketers playing for the last season.

These players have reached their fag end of the career and continuing for yet another season might be an exaggeration.

Here we look at 5 cricketers who might be playing their last IPL tournament ever:

5. Harbhajan Singh

It turned out quite a surprise when Chennai Super Kings decided to retain Harbhajan Singh for another year. The Turbunator has lost his charm and he has often failed to capture the batsmen in his spin-web.

This was the season why Mumbai Indians decided to end their 10-year-long association with the veteran spinner. He has picked 24 wickets in 38 matches since 2016 season.

In these three years, he has given runs at an economy rate close to 8. Moreover in the 2018 season, he bowled the least number of overs in his entire IPL career (minimum 10 matches).

Harbhajan might find himself on the bench because of the availability of Mitchell Santner this season, and could eventually end his IPL career after the season gets over.
