The 39 year old Arsenal legend accolades about his countryman, he thinks Giroud has the capacity but he needs some support.
The Arsenal superstar believes that the 30 year old Gunners striker is in extraordinary form this season, and he had been an excellent sheet to him if he was at Arsenal at his time.
A Few days ago the Arsenal legend says that the 30 year old striker is not the capable one to lead the striking line like a team of Arsenal but now he now tried to set new sight.
He added: "I would like to have played with him,".
“As someone who brings others into play, he is extraordinary.
"I never criticised him. I responded to a question: ‘What must Arsenal do to become champions?’
"To that I said that Giroud cannot be the only forward if Arsenal are to win the league. Some weeks before that question I was praising him. But no-one remembers that.
"It’s been the situation for two years. I replied that Arsenal need a stronger spine, few injuries and for Mesut Ozil to lift his level to that he had played the season before. And another attacker other than Giroud, so there are more solutions and options in attack.
"There you go, that’s what I said."
The 1998 world cup winner backed himself up by saying that he had won two premier league titles with Arsenal in his time and two FA cups.
After that he added: “I won the title because Kanu, Sylvain Wiltord and Freddy Ljungberg all scored at the end of the season,"
“The goal in Manchester was scored by Wiltord, not me.
“This season, Alexis Sanchez is playing in attack. He’s the spearhead. And Olivier is doing enormous work, he is staying strong in his job.”
This season, the French international has scored eight goals in his 17 appearances for Arsenal.
This season he has scored at a rate of one goal in the time difference of 82 minutes.
But the Chilean superstar Alexis Sanchez had become more prolific than the 30 year old French striker this season, as he scored 15 times for them this season so far.
