The 49-year-old Italian manager and current head coach of Juventus Massimiliano Allegri is not the man who will replace Luis Enrique at the Camp Nou.


Robert Fernandez the Sporting director of Barcelona dismissed the report that they made an approach to the Italian to replace their current manager.

The current Barcelona manager Luis Enrique announced that he will leave the Club at the end of this season,

After his announcement his replacement has been speculated frequently, Europe’s many coaches name came as a potential candidate for that post,

Allegri was one of them; the Italian manager has won two Serie A with the Juventus side,

But the sporting director of Barcelona said: "It is not true that [Allegri] is coming."

But the assistance Barcelona coach Juan Carlos Unzue and Athletic Bilbao coach Ernesto Valverde are the strongest candidates to replace Luis Enrique,

He said: "[Unzue] is someone who knows the club really well, including the system and the players, so he is prepared,"

"Valverde has had several good seasons, not just at Athletic Bilbao."
