The Kolkata based I league giant Kingfisher East Bengal FC has thrashed the, I league champions Bengaluru FC 3-1 at the Sree Kanterava Football Stadium in Bengaluru on Saturday.

Destroying Bengaluru FC’s poor defending, the Uganda international Ivan Bukenya has (23′) scored the first goal of the match in the first half followed by the India international and former Bengaluru FC’s forward Robin Singh’s brace (54′, 60′) in the second half.

Where, the 28-year-old Indian international Albeit CK Vineeth (85′) scored for the hosts, it couldn’t deter the inevitable.

The host side has started the game with two changes in the playing eleven as Bengaluru FC benched out-of-form Eugenson Lyngdoh and introduced keeper Arindam Bhattacharya instead of injured Amrinder Singh.

Match started at a fast pace, both teams trying to make a foray. And five minutes later, it was Robin Singh again who sealed the victory for the visitors by scoring his second and third for his team, before Bengaluru FC’s forward Vineeth pulled one back for the hosts in the 85th minute.
