The Italian centre back and Juventus FC’s star defender Leonardo Bonucci has recently discussed what he thinks the differences between Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo and FC Barcelona forward Lionel Messi are.
As the 29-year-old Juventus star feels that, the 32-year-old Portuguese man Cristiano Ronaldo has built himself as a complete player, but the 29-year-old Argentine is more talented and Supernatural.
In an interview with UEFA.com, the Italian centre back explains, "They each have their own style,"
"Messi has more talent, he's more supernatural, but Ronaldo has built himself as a player more.”
"Nevertheless, they are two exceptional, phenomenal players – different class. Playing against them is definitely stimulating."
Bonucci further explained about how his own game raises by playing against stars such as Ronaldo and Messi, although he could not quite explain why.
"You're forced to give 110% because 100% is not enough. It's always exciting for me when I come up against certain stars," he added.
"I can't put my finger on it, but in some games something extra comes out, forcing me to give that little bit more, which sometimes I'm not able to produce in other, normal matches.”
“Perhaps this is where I need to improve this season and every season until I retire: to give 110% in every game."
