South African Pacer Kagiso Rabada Reveals the Toughest Batsman He Has Faced So Far

Pacer Kagiso Rabada has currently been one of the important pace bowlers for South Africa in all the three formats of the game. After making his debut for his country in July 2015, he hasn’t looked back since then.

Recently he has performed well against Australia in the three-match ODI series where he finished with seven wickets. He also played well in the one-off T20I against Australia at Carrara Oval in Queensland.

The 23-year-old is going to be an important squad member in the 2019 World Cup which will be held in England and Wales, as the Proteas will be desperate to win the coveted trophy.

Rabada has bowled to many batsmen and has taken their wickets with his raw pace and bounce. But recently in an interview he revealed the toughest batsman he has ever bowled to.

“So far, it has been Virat Kohli who has been scoring a lot of runs. I haven’t played as much against other nations,” Rabada was quoted as saying in an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda.

Indian skipper Virat Kohli is currently the number one ranked batsman of international Cricket Council’s (ICC) ODI and Test format. The 30-year-old recently completed his 10,000 ODI runs as the fastest cricketer and in the process surpassed the legendary Sachin Tendulkar.

Kohli has also six double centuries in Test cricket to his name. Earlier in August, India went to England for a five-match Test series, where the Delhi-born cricketer became the leading run-scorer despite his team ending up on the losing side. He is scheduled next to play a four-match Test series against Australia.

Rabada has also praised his countryman and veteran fast bowler Dale Steyn by saying that he has been an indefatigable trooper for the South African cricket.

“Dale Steyn’s contribution to South Africa is immense. He’s been a contributor and won a lot of games for the country. He’s played a role in putting smiles on South African faces and inspiring the youth,” he added.
