The 29-year-old French international Karim Benzema says that he is expecting to extend his contract with the La Liga giants and also believes that he can play a key role for them.
The Real Madrid striker says that he plays for the Group at Real Madrid players, not for Gareth Bale or Cristiano Ronaldo.
In the Real Madrid side, the French striker is a part of BBC team but persists that that does not define him.
Benzema considers himself as one of the pivotal players for the La Liga side no matter what how much attention was given to others.
As Cristiano Ronaldo is a monumental figure in the Real Madrid side and on the other side Bale made a big-money move to the Spanish capital.
In the year of 2009 Real Madrid side brought the French striker from Lyon and down this years he has provided regular sources of goals to them and he hopes because of that he deserves a contract extend with them.
Benzema said: "It would be a dream to finish my career at Real Madrid,"
"There are no other clubs that light up my future like Madrid.
"I am at the service of the team, not Ronaldo or Bale. I play for the group."
The French man is also enjoying his football under Zidane’s wing as in the previous year they has won the Champions league and this season they are again in the Quarterfinals.
Benzema added: "He gives confidence to the group, knows how to speak to the players and is very calm,”
"He does not panic and he calms us."
This season the Real Madrid striker has scored 16 goals for them in all competitions so far.
