The FC Barcelona star failed to find his place in the top three best player UEFA award as it was being seated by both the stars of Madrid and the Atletico forward.

Lionel Messi has been pulled out of the top crowned players shortlisted for the UEFA Best Player in UEFA Award, with Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Antoine Griezmann leading the list.

Lionel Messi despite of not being 3rd in the list couldn’t even grab up the 4th position for himself as the peak performance of his fellow team mate Suarez dragged him to the 5th spot.

Cristiano Ronaldo well known for his awards and directing his club Real Madrid to win the Champions league in 2015-16 for their 11th time preceding his nation Portugal to win the final at Euro cup 2016.

Eyeing on the same aspect Gareth Bale also won the Champions League for his club Real Madrid and playing a vital role for Wales to be in the Semis at the European Championship.

Atletico Madrid and France striker Griezmann though lost the Champions league and went on to be on the losing side at the Euros against Ronaldo, even though he was the top scorer in the Euros with 6 goals.

25th of August is the judgment day for the UEFA best player award and the winners will be announced accordingly
