AUSTRALIAN MID-FIELDER CAMERON WATSON JOINED BENGALURU FC

Bengaluru FC recruited a new star in their team from  A-League side, Newcastle Jets.

The 29-year-old joined the club to strengthen the team before the new season of I-League. He became the first signing of  Albert Roca in the club. Roca belives that Watson is a very good player and playing in I-League is a proof of his quality.

“Cameron is a good player in a position that’s very important to the team. He has a good background playing in Australia which I think is an impressive league in terms of standard and his presence would help us grow,” said Roca.

It is revealed that Watson joined Bengaluru on the advice of the former striker Sean Rooney, who presently plays at Marconi Stallions FC, at Australian side. Watson is trying to be fit as he already started his preparations for the league. Watson replaced  British midfielder, Michael Collins. The team now thinking that Watson may bring the glorious I-League crown to the team.

“I’ve spoken to a few people and heard good things about the League. I’ve even had a word with former Bengaluru player Sean Rooney who had a lot of nice things to say about the club and I’m really looking forward to joining the team as soon as possible. I’ve been training with a local club here and keeping as fit as possible. There’s a big AFC Cup game coming up and the sooner I get there, the better,” said Watson.
