Five Players Who Might Not Play the 2019 World Cup

4. Dale Steyn

Steyn came back after a long gap of two years in an ODI series against Zimbabwe. But despite the gap, it seemed as if he has not missed out any action.

His bowling gathered huge speed and he eventually went on to pick up 5 wickets from two games he played in the series. The Proteas would be hoping to get the services of the veteran of 118 ODIs and 88 Tests in England next year.

In the English conditions, he can be very deadly as he has the ability to swing the ball both ways. However the main concern for the fast bowler would be the frequency of injuries which has affected his career in the past 24 months.

Apart from picking up new injuries, various old injuries are also resurfacing. When Steyn is on the field he gives his 100 per cent. It will be interesting to see if he can manage to stay fit until the mega tournament arrives.
