The 36 year old former Pakistani T20 and ODI captain Shahid Afridi thinks that the current T20 captain the 29 year old left handed batsmen Sarfraz Ahmed has that perfect player to be his successor.

Under their test captain Misbah Pakistan has lost their last 6 test matches. And under Azhar Ali, who is the current ODI captain under him the Pakistani Cricket team is struggling to qualify for the ODI world cup; on the base of the situation Sahid Afridi thinks Sarfaraz Ahmaed has all the quality to lead the country in three formats.

Right now with his potential he established himself as a one of the most dominant batsmen in the Pakistani Cricket team, and recently he played well for his country in their tours of Australia and New Zealand.

Recently the PCB announces that they can revise on the decision of making Sarfaz Ahmed a captain, but they will first look at the results under Azhar Ali how team Pakistan will perform in their ODI’s.

Under Azhar Ali, Pakistan face another defeat recently, in their tour they just won only one match out of eight.

In an interview Afridi said that: “Sarfraz is a fighter and Pakistan needs a fighter right now,”

“He has the ability to captain Pakistan in all three formats.” The 36 year old limited overs specialist also advocated the importance of fitness in the overall growth of a player. “Fitness is very important when you are playing cricket. Players should pay special attention to it. Look at [former Pakistan captain] Imran Khan. He still keeps himself fit,”
