Former and Current Indian Captains to Face Each Other

IPL’s most celebrated rivalry is back as Chennai Super Kings, who had not played for two seasons due to suspension, will take on Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 11th edition of the IPL on Wednesday.

Crciket News: Bangalore and Chennai set to renew rivalry at the Chinnaswamy stadium

Although CSK has been leading in the overall head-to-head record by 13-7, yet both the teams have won three games out of seven at high-scoring Chinnaswamy, with one game producing no-result.

CSK has a better start to the campaign with four wins out of five games, while RCB has won two out of five games. But Bangalore would like to maintain momentum after they won against Delhi Daredevils at home last week.

AB de Villiers is back to devastating form as he scored an unbeaten 39-ball 90 against Delhi. He single-handedly chased down the 175-run target with two overs to spare.

Skipper Virat Kohli is also in good form with his 57 and unbeaten 92 against Rajasthan and Mumbai respectively.

Both Quinton de Kock, who has scored 112 runs so far, and Manan Vohra, who scored just one in the previous match, would like to get a big knock.

Shane Watson is in great nick, as his 57-ball 106 against Rajasthan, has kept him among top run-getter and wicket-takers.

Ambati Rayudu with his 201 runs, the highest individual run-getter for CSK, would like to continue his good form. Suresh Raina, Dwayne Bravo and skipper MS Dhoni are all expected to score big runs again.

RCB’s spin duo Yuzvendra Chahal and Washington Sundar would be itching to put on a good show as CSK are struggling against spin this season. RCB all-rounder Chris Woakes and Umesh Yadav have both picked up 8 wickets and would love to impress again against CSK.
