Virat Kohli captain of the Royal Challengers Bangalore said in an interview that the Franchise has calculated and identified players whom they would love to retain in the next hammer

They landed of their disappointing 2K17 performance with a win against the Delhi Daredevils but still it was very disappointing for them to finish up in the last spot being the runners up of the previous season they definitely had some blasting plans for this year’s IPL which unfortunately did not worked out for them

After the last match kohli spoke about the team and said it was a season to forget upon and not being dependent on what actually happened we should try to learn from it and move on:

“It has been a season to forget and reflect on. We have to start fresh as a franchise. Maybe a blessing in disguise. Depends on how many players we can retain. But we do have guys who we have identified. Some guys who have showed right kind of attitude and the mindset to go out there and perform under pressure situations,” Kohli said.

RCB have a number of big names in their line-up, with Kohli teaming up alongside AB de Villiers, Chris Gayle, Shane Watson, KL Rahul and Kedar Jadhav among others. The team also boasted of Mitchell Starc before this season, but the Australian elected to stay back in Australia to fully recuperate from injury.

While AB de Villiers continues to be a core team member capable of changing games, the rest of the support cast has only played a bit part role. Gayle and Watson had to compete with each other for a slot, while Rahul missed the entire campaign due to an injured shoulder.

Both Gayle and Watson looked only a shadow of their previous selves during IPL 2017, and that might force the think tank into thinking twice before considering for the future.
