DESPITE OF THE HEAD COACH THE TEAM IS DOING PRETTY WELL: KOHLI

SPORTSLIBRO CRICKET– LATEST CRICKET NEWS

Virat Kohli in an interview said that team India is losing momentum against the West Indies side as they were not having any coach to lead by, but the team is doing pretty well

Definately the team is in need of a coach to lead them and guide them wherever possible and the team need to be directed under such experienced professional in the long run

It all started up with a dispute between Kohli and coach Kumble which ruined the relation between them and with such mindset where there is no matching entity concept, both captain and coach were finding very difficult to cope up with another

The CEO of BCCI Rahul Johri will be in Jamaica with other governing bodies to meet the captain and the team to have a handy word for the new Head Coach process

Johri is expected to meet the team on Wednesday regarding this talk and it might be a major step towards the development as the team feels very left alone without any coach to guide upon

“Yes, Rahul has left for Jamaica with permission of the Committee of Administrators (COA). He has been instructed with the task of getting feedback from the captain and the team. The team’s feedback will then be passed to the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) to take all parameters into account,” a BCCI official privy to the development said.

The move is perceived by many as BCCI and COA’s method of trying to change the mood of the team as they don’t want any dispute over new appointee selected.

A few days ago, Kohli had said that he will only air his view if the BCCI asks for it.

“From a personal point of view, I can’t pinpoint anything or give details. We as a team, contrary to a lot of perceptions, only voice our opinions when asked by the BCCI for suggestions. So that is something we have always gone through as a process and that’s something we respect as a team,” Kohli had said during an interaction with media during the Antigua leg of the series.

But the question of taking the suggestions from the trio Laxman, Ganguly and Tendulkar is yet to be raised as no limelight is being focused as of now from their point of view as to what they feel regarding this major decision

“Venkatesh Prasad’s CV is not there among those who have applied for the coach’s post. He is working as the chairman of selectors with the junior team. We don’t know who spread the news. Venky on his part never confirmed that he has applied for the job,” said the source.
