INDIA VS ENGLAND, 4TH TEST, VENUE: WANKHEDE STADIUM, MUMBAI, INDIA WON BY AN INNINGS AND 36 RUNS

SPORTS LIBRO CRICKET- LATEST CRICKET NEWS.

As per the CRICKET NEWS flowing from the Wankhede India have won the match and sealed the series with an Innings and 36 runs, Virat kohli will be a much happier man now as he has won the series and lifted up the Man of the match by scoring 235 odd runs.

Virat may it be the playing form or the captaincy this man has done everything right for the team no wonder of what the circumstances are he has stood there by the side of the team and led them to a stronger path.

The spinners has played the most vital role in this win apart from the classical batting style shown up by the Indian team, Jadeja and Ashwin both the duo contributed 18 wickets in both the innings out of which 12 was in the names of Ashwin and 6 in the hands of Jadeja.

The debutant Yadav also went for a century partnering Virat kohli in a long run and scored a tremendous 104 odd runs to make the target slightly more invisible for the England team.

With this Indian team has won 5 series in a row.

Kohli: “It’s a special feeling to win the series. I was just having a chat with Ashwin in that victory lap, this is the ground where we lost the moment to England four years ago. We know that this wicket offers bounce as well, so the adjustment was very important. Credit to all the batsmen for doing that, especially Vijay. I could see the frustration in his mind of not getting the runs. To come out and get a hundred was very good. I was pretty focussed on this game. I knew we were 2-0 up. I was a bit nervous with 400 on the board, but I knew I have to score many for us to have a chance. The first thing was to level the scores. It’s all about the body language and the belief you have in your mind and I am very grateful that it came at the right time. This is probably the sweetest win in the last 14-15 months. It was a test of patience on this wicket. I felt the advantage we had was England were a spinner short”

Virat Kohli is the Man of the Match

Cook: “I thought 400 was a pretty good score on that wicket. Historically it’s a good score on this ground. We had our chances in the second innings. They were 300/6, obviously Virat played an extraordinary cricket. We dropped him on 60 odd and Yadav played well too. He gave him a couple of chances as well. Our two best spinners have been Mo and Rash. It was a mistake to go for the fourth seamer. We haven’t been good enough to get over the line. When you get a team doing 160 overs on the field, even the spinners get tired. We scored almost 600 runs on this wicket. To me, we batted better than we have done in the previous two games. I would say that we lost the game because of our missed chances and of course a third spinner would have been handy. Virat leads from the front, captains the side and it’s very hard to bowl to him.”
