SRI LANKA VS AUSTRALIA, 2ND TEST, DAY 3, 2ND CONSECUTIVE WIN FOR SRI LANKA, WINNING THE MATCH BY 229 RUNS.

The Australians batsmen are not finding the conditions friendly for them to perform from the initial start of the 2nd match or rather we can say from the start of the series the batsmen have been performing consistently poor and is not able to reach out for a helping hand for their nation.

Although the Australian team lost the match but this man Mitchell Starc is in his peak form and living his dreams to the fullest taking 11 wickets in the second test.

This series seems to be all about the bowlers this time whether it be the Australian pacer Mitchell Starc who triggered the Srilankan batsmen for 5/44 or it be the spinner Rangana Herath & Dilruwan Perera who piled up the Australian 1st innings at just 106 runs both taking a four wicket haul for their team. Coming back to the 2nd innings of the match it was again the pacer himself Mitchell Starc who clinked 6/50 not allowing the Srilankan batsmen to free their hands, on this speak about Dilruwan Perera also followed it up for Sri Lanka by taking 6 wickets and making the Aussies to put up their arms again for 183 runs.

Border, who was the captain for Australia in 93 Tests, feels Steve Smith's side needed to try out with his part time bowler. "We've got to get more overs out of Adam Voges and Steve Smith, because even though they're part-timers they land them pretty well on pitches that turn a bit," he said. "They were totally underused in that last game.

"In Australia where the wickets are pretty flat, it might be a waste of time bowling those two but on a pitch that's offering a bit of turn even I become a good bowler," he added.

There were just 3 half centuries in all the 4 innings of the match and that too all 3 came from the Srilankan batting line up and no one could reach the 100 run mark from any team.
