Last year the English football team defeated the world champions Germany at their home ground by 3-2 goals, as in the match they were trailing by 2-0 goals but they recover the deficit and won the match,

But after that, they face a defeat from the Iceland side at the Euro 2016 at Nice and they got eliminated from the tournament, after that defeat last year their head coach Roy Hodgson gave resignation shortly after the final whistle against Iceland.

This Wednesday under their new manager Gareth Southgate England will play against the World champions Germany at Dortmund a friendly match,

The defender believes his team should learn from the past experiences to progress.

He said: "I think we can take a lot from it, negatives and positives, in both ways,"

"We are here, a few manager changes, we have got Gareth and he is trying to put his stamp on it and look back to what has happened in the past, which I think is vital.

"We don't just want to forget it; we want to learn from it and move on and hopefully get better from those experiences, both as a team and as individuals."

John Stones will earn his 16th national team cap in their match against Germany, the defender was hit back by critics who claims that defender is struggling under Pep Guardiola’s playing style in Manchester City.

This season he joined the Manchester City side from Everton for £47.5m.

On this Stones voiced: "I'm trying to learn all the time, every day off of Pep at City and try to bring those qualities and things I've learned when we play week in-week out to England and obviously Gareth wants us to and has wanted me in the past, to play out and be a defender first and foremost.

"I'm learning every day and I want to come here and learn some new things as well off the manager now he has got the role and everyone else is doing the same thing.

"I think it is a healthy environment to be around when everyone is playing well at their club and deserves to be here. Go and show the manager what you can do and he'll give you a few words on what he wants from you as well, which is a great learning experience for me and all the lads."

After their match against German y England will play against Lithuania in the World Cup Qualifying match at the Wembley Stadium.
