LODHA PANEL DISMISSED BCCI’S PLEA ON CHANGING REFORMS

Lodha Panel rejected  BCCI’s request of differing the reforms on the Board’s structure

Lodha Panel on Monday directly dismissed Board of Cricket Control In India (BCCI)’s plea to change the reforms verdict by Supreme Court last month. The association now have a deadline of six months time to change their structure.

Justice Markandey Katju, the newly appointed legal advisor of BCCI completed an Interim report and asked the Board to file a petition against the Apex court verdict to a higher surface.

"Ajay Shirke (BCCI secretary) finally wrote to the Committee late last night requesting that the meeting on Tuesday with him and Anurag Thakur be deferred. The request has been declined," sources confirmed.

"The board could not have got a stay order before 11 am on Tuesday which is scheduled time for Thakur and Shirke to meet panel members. A delay would have enabled the BCCI lawyers to file for review petition and seek a stay on verdict. But after Justice Katju's attack, we know that bridges have been burnt," said by a senior official of BCCI.
