Virat Kohli Raises Bat after Entering the Long Room of Lord’s

The second Test of the five-match Test series between India and England which is being played at Lord’s, is experiencing a lot of rain as only 35.2 overs were bowled in the second day after a total rain-marred first day.

Cricket news: At that time he had scored just 1 run after facing 2 balls

India was forced to bat first and they lost both their openers in quick succession after 6.3 overs, rain began to pour again.

Amidst all that frustration, there was a hilarious situation in the Lord’s Long Room as Indian skipper Virat Kohli was seen lifting his bat hilariously to the applauding crowd.

Kohli walked to the crease after KL Rahul was dismissed and he faced James Anderson, who was in the middle of a fine spell.

Kohli missed the first delivery and Anderson had a wry smile on his face, as the overhead conditions and moisture from the pitch was assisting Anderson.

When he faced the second delivery it began raining and the umpires had to call the play off and early lunch was taken.

Kohli walked back to the dressing room, and was having a friendly chat with Anderson on the way. The crowd was applauding the players after the long walk and somehow Kohli found it funny.

When the Indian duo of Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara entered the lounge room, the claps were still going on. Kohli, after a brief chat with Pujara, raised his bat hilariously which left the fans in splits.

Maybe he was trying to have a feel of how it felt to have one’s name on the honours board at the Home of Cricket, which is a dream of every cricketer.

However India did not have an auspicious day, as James Anderson and Co. bundled the visitors for 107, as Anderson led the attack by picking up five wickets.
