GEELONG TO HOST THE T20I BETWEEN AURSTRALIA AND SRI LANKA FOR THE FIRST TIME.

It’s for the very first time an International Cricket will be played in this venue at Geelong, and the port city is all set to host the coming T20I between Australia and Sri Lanka in February 2017

Australian cricket board confirmed that that on the 8th of August that is on Monday the Venues and the schedule will be fixed by the board, the first match will be played on 17th February at the MCG followed by Kardinya park in Geelong on February 19th in which the very first International match will be played and lastly in Adelaide Oval on 22nd February 

"We're committed to taking the game to as many parts of the country as possible and we continue to work with regional areas around Australia on how we can make this happen," James Sutherland, CA chief executive, said on Monday. "Geelong proved its capability to host cricket last summer with a successful BBL exhibition match between the Melbourne Stars and Melbourne Renegades attracting more than 10,000 people. 

"We're really looking forward to the people of the Geelong region and beyond, packing out the stadium and supporting the women's and men's national sides," he added. 

T20I Series Australia v Sri Lanka:-

17th February: MCG, Melbourne
19th February: Kardinia Park, Geelong
22nd February: Adelaide Oval, Adelaide
