The 32 year old cricketer who represents Bengal in India domestic cricket, he will open for Bengal in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2017.


The 32 year old wicket keeper batsman Wriddhiman Saha is a thorough professional. Though he is a player of longer formats, but the wicket keeper had some incredible knock in the shorter format also. He played some test match for his country, but most people forgot that the 32 year old player is a good player also in the T20s.


But right now the batsman is focusing for the upcoming Syed Mushtaq trophy; it is India’s prime domestic T20 competition.

The wicket keeper will play for Bengal in this tournament and the Bengal team management handed him a new role in that tournament.

The Bengal management decided to send him as an opener in the opener and the batsman is up for the challenge. The batsman says that right now he is only thinking about the Syed Mushtaq series and he is determined to do well as an opener for Bengal and he is not thinking about the test series.

Saha added: “I am not at all thinking about Test now. I have set my eyes on the Syed Mushtaq Ali Championship and my aim is to contribute runs as an opener in the championship.” India are scheduled to play a one off Test against Bangladesh after the conclusion of the T20 tournament. The national team will then host Australia for a long 4 match Test series.

From his word we can say the wicket keeper batsman is ready to switch his gears in all the formats.

The 32 year old had a century in his name in the IPL for Kings Xi Punjab and also a few days ago, he scored a double ton in the Irani trophy against the Gujarat team.

In Syed Mushtaq trophy the Bengal team will play their first match against the Tripura. The match will be played at Eden Gardens on January 31st.
