The much awaited IPL 2018 auction is around the corner, the list of 16 marquee players over the cricketing world has been announced, in the auction 578 players have will go under the hammer and. Among them, 182 positions are there for them, and 18 players were retained by the franchises. More update on VIVO IPL 2018

The Marquee players whose base price between 1 Crore to 2 Crore  are Yuvraj Singh, Christopher Gayle, Ben Stokes, Kane Williamson, Glenn Maxwell, Joe Root, Mitchell Starc, Faf du Plessis, Dwayne Bravo, Kieron Pollard and Shakib Hasan and  Ravichandran Ashwin, Gautam Gambhir, Shikhar Dhawan, Ajinkya Rahane, Harbhajan Singh.

 

For the upcoming auction Murali Vijay, KL Rahul, Kedar Jadhav, Dinesh Karthik, Robin Uthappa, Yuzvendra Chahal and Karn Sharma has set their base price at 2 Crore rs as the eight teams are ready to build strength for the upcoming IPL.

 

"A lot of strategizing and number-crunching is involved before a cricketer is picked at the IPL Player Auction. The dynamic nature of the auction makes it unpredictable and exciting," IPL Chairman Rajiv Shukla said in a release.

 

"The eight franchises have given us an indication of what their core would be with their Player Retentions and IPL 2018 Player Auction will be an important step towards the creation of a successful team. The marquee list is full of star players, but I am also looking forward to the uncapped Indian players who have proved their mettle in the earlier editions of the VIVO IPL and are sure to attract high bids."

 

 The 16 Marque players have been segregated into M1 and M2 category, Indian national team players Ashwin, Shikhar Dhawan, Ajinkya Rahane are in the M1 list and the Englishman Ben Stokes, and also along with them the Aussie pacer Mitchell Starc and giant West Indian Chris Gayle and the Afgan sensational Rashid Khan and hard hitter Chris Lynn in the 2 Crore Bracket.

 

Kagiso Rabadan the South African pacer set his price to 1.5 Crores and the former Chennai Super Kings players Brandon McCullum and Faf du Plessis set their price to 2 Crores. In the auction, 31 players have set their base price to 1 Cr, and 23 in the 75 Lakh Category and 122 players in the 50 Lakh Categories.

 

In the auction, 288 Uncapped Indian players are in the auction and 62 capped players are there.
