Kohli’s association with Audi, a German automobile manufacturing company, has been a long and successful one. On Wednesday he was seen unveiling the second generation Audi RS 5 Coupe as he became the first Indian to own the car.

“It has been really good. I am launching all the new cars, can’t ask for anything more. I am a big fan of luxury cars, both sedans and SUVs. Usually for everyday travel, I prefer to be sitting in a SUV but on other occasions, I prefer sedans more. I definitely do like luxury cars,” Kohli said on his association with Audi.

Rahil Ansari, head of Audi India, said that the brand attracts people who are young at heart and the company is happy to have Kohli as its customer.

Apart from owning various RS branded vehicles like RS6, A8 L, R8 V10 and Q7, Kohli also owns other brands like Bentley Continental GT and Range Rover Vogue.

When he was asked about his favourite weekend getaway, he said, “I haven’t had many opportunities to have such a getaway because if I have a weekend off, I prefer to be at home and just relax.”

He further added that when an ideal situation permits, he prefers driving to an outhouse in his favourite car on a nice road while listening to great music.

Often being compared to Sachin Tendulkar, Kohli has always said that the Master Blaster has always been on a different league altogether and the legend will continue inspiring him always.

Later when he was asked about his favourite hero on and off the field, Kohli commented, “He is obviously Sachin Tendulkar.”
