As per the INDIAN CRICKET NEWS the medical representatives of the Indian cricket team has said on Sunday the 11th of December that Shami and Saha will not be playing in the 5th test also because they have not yet recovered fully from their injury.


Shami and Saha both will be going to the National Cricket Academy to start their fitness programme, Shami due to the soreness in his right knee and Saha because of the hamstring tendon injury that collapsed him during the 2nd test.


Shami as well all of us know that he is really a hardworking and efficient bowler for team India has picked 10 wickets in the first 3 test matches being played and was being given rest for the 4th test against England at the Wankhede in Mumbai and Bhuvneshwar Kumar was in for Shami and Sadrul Thakur was kept as a backup bowler for the team.


Saha also came up with excellence in 2016 - with both bat and behind the stumps. He has scored a total of 366 runs in nine Tests, including two half-centuries in Kolkata which begged him the Man of the Match. In these matches, he also took 17 catches and was involved in two stumpings. Parthiv Patel, who had played only a single Test for India since 2004, was called in as a replacement for the Bengal wicketkeeper at the back of some consistent performances in domestic cricket. He justified his selection with some neat work behind the wicket and a quickfire half century in Mohali.


The selectors are yet to announce Shami's replacement for the fifth Test, which is set to be played in Chennai, starting on December 16th.
