R ASHWIN WILL NOT BE A PART OF THE TENTH EDITION OF THE IPL

SPORTS LIBRO CRICKETCRICKET NEWS

This year’s IPL is not going to be the same as usually as there are quite a few big names that are either getting injured or they are pulling their names off this IPL.Joining the list is India’s match-winner R Ashwin.

In the recent Concluded series against Australia that India won 2-1, Ashwin was not at its best as his performance was not of the highest caliber that we have witnessed for the last couple of years.

After the last match in Dharamsala in the post match interview, Ashwin was asked whether he was feeling a bit tired since bowled more than 700 overs during India’s grand home season of 13 test matches.

Only then we came to know when Ashwin revealed that he is suffering from sports Hernia,

This is not the first time is pulling off from a competition since he also pulled off his name from Tamil Nadu’s Ranji trophy squad after concluding the England series that India won by 4-0.

In this home season, Ashwin role was the most important as the off-spinner bowled 738.2 overs and finished the season with 82 scalps under his belt.

The maximum for any bowler in a single home season surpassing Dale Steyn of South Africa who took 78 wickets in the 2007-2008 season.

No doubt this is a huge blow in RPS’s moral since he was their main spinner but now in his absence, the others need to take the onus to take RPS in the playoffs.
