Bangladesh pacer Mustafizur Rahman to undergo a shoulder surgery on August 11

The young pacer will be leaving for London before August 11 as he is to undergo a shoulder surgery. The left-arm bowler was dropped from  the squad in Twenty20 Blast. He was able to play only two games for Sussex before he was injured. The player was also advocated to be a subject of surgery for his SLAP (Superior Labrum from Anterior to Posterior) tear.

Jalal Yunus, media committee director of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) said to ESPNCricinfo “The operation will take place in London on August 11.”

Dr. Andrew Wallace of London’s Fortius Clinic gave an appointment to Rahman on 11 August, as suggested by England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB).

Yunus added, “ After Mustafizur had met him yesterday, he gave the appointment. We are confident that Mustafizur is in good hands. We want this to get over as soon as possible,”

The youngster has the ability to change games, proved in Indian Premiere League (IPL) of 2016. Injuries to his ankle and knee had drawn him up from playing. The upcoming surgery might lay him away from ground for atleast six months.
