MISBAH: THE PLAYERS FOUND GUILTY SHOULD BE TREATED WITH A LIFE BAN

SPORTSLIBRO CRICKET: LATEST CRICKET NEWS

The test captain of the Pakistan cricket team finally broke up his silence and spoke about the unfair means that were carried on by the players in the 2nd edition of PSL

Misbah also said that the players indulged in the unfair means should be treated with a life ban and should not be taken lightly, strict actions should be taken against them

Pakistan Cricket Board has already dismissed the players those who were found to be interfacing in the scenario, but this might not be the end of punishment as because these few players outsource the evil effect out of cricket

“Those players found to be involved in spot-fixing should be banned for life. We are very disappointed this happened,” Misbah said on Sunday(March 19). The 42-year-old called for strict action to be taken against the miscreants to ensure such actions are not repeated.

Sharjeel, Latif and Shahzaib face a minimum five years’ ban while pacer Irfan could serve a six-month ban. Jamshed, who resides in the UK, was reportedly arrested along with another suspect by Britain’s National Crime Agency last month but later released on bail.

Misbah rued the fact that the Pakistan cricket’s image has once again been tarnished by the recent developments in their domestic T20 league. “It appears that the [positive] image for Pakistan cricket we had strived to build for the past seven years has been wasted,” Misbah said.
