The much talented player is living his dream moments after he got a call from the BCCI to replace Rahane in the ongoing test series, the player has proved himself in each and every point of time whenever he has got a chance to play.


As per the LATEST CRICKET NEWS Pandey has got up his maiden call in the test series and he is really happy for the cause as he has got the chance to serve his nation and showcase his talent to go even more further in his cricketing career.


On Wednesday while in a practice session Rahane got hit in his hands and he had to leave the series in between for his medicals as prescribed by the board and the fitness coach.


He is also the Vice-captain of the test team but due to injury he has been ruled out of the series, he was seen in a very touch throughout the series and this move will definitely effect the team and the combination, but the management is very much sure of the replacement and is hoping that Pandey will fare well and maintain the flow as it is.


BCCI confirmed the news through a media release, saying: "Ajinkya Rahane sustained an avulsion fracture on his right index finger and has been ruled out for the remaining two Test matches of the Paytm series 2016 against England. A ball stuck Rahane during the practice session today." 


Their pace spearhead, Mohammed Shami is a doubt for the Test, too, and a back-up in the form of Mumbai pacer Shardul Thakur has been called up,


"Mumbai medium pacer Shardul Thakur has been called as back up for India pacer Mohammed Shami, who is nursing a sore knee. The BCCI medical team is closely monitoring his progress and a decision on his participation will be taken before the start of the fourth Test match," the BCCI release said.
