Kedar Jadhav Included In the Squad for 4th And 5th ODI against the Windies

Indian all-rounder Kedar Jadhav did not hesitate from expressing publicly about how he was disappointed when his name was not included in the remainder of the ODI series against the Windies.

Cricket news: Jadhav last played for India in the Asia Cup final where he got injured midway

Jadhav was injured in the final of the Asia Cup against Bangladesh but he claimed that he had regained full fitness and had proved that by playing in the Deodhar Trophy, but was still not taken into consideration by the selectors.

However the 33-year-old cricketer will not have to wait further as he was given a nod by the selectors and was included in the 4th and 5th ODI of the five-match series, which will be played in Mumbai and Thiruvananthapuram.

India’s young prodigy wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant was trying to make his place in the team as the finisher in Jadhav’s absence, but it seems like he has to make way for the senior cricketer now.

During the Asia Cup final, Jadhav was injured midway and had to leave the leave during a tense run chase. However he came back later and scored the winning runs and helped the team to defend the trophy in Dubai.

After recovering from his injury, Jadhav went on to play for India ‘A’ in the Deodhar Trophy, where he played just a single game and scored a quickfire 41 off 25 balls.

Regarding his return chief selector MSK Prasad said, “He is coming back from an injury which is why we asked him to play in the Deodhar Trophy. We expected their team to go on to play the final which is why he’s not a part of the third ODI but is part of the fourth and fifth ODIs.”

The Windies have made an incredible comeback in the ODIs after their poor performance in the two-match Test series, where they lost both the encounters in six cricketing days.

However the Men in Blue have called their main pacers Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah for the 3rd ODI in Pune and would like to take an unassailable lead of 2-0 in the series.
