The current 11th edition of the Indian Premier League has been going like a fairytale for the former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

Cricket news: I wanted to bat higher the order and coach Fleming listened to me, says Dhoni

It seems that Dhoni has got his form back, the same hard-hitting and finishing ability form, for which he is widely known. In the current season, he has scored 393 runs at a staggering average of 98.25. His strike rate is over 163 and has already 3 half-centuries until now.

He has played 11 matches in this tournament and is currently leading the charts for the most number of sixes hit in the competition this year, hitting 28 sixes, which proves hard-hitting ability.

The skipper is leading Chennai Super Kings from the front with his sublime form and has motivated the entire team. Many CSK players have credited MS Dhoni for their success in the competition.

Before the previous game against Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur, Dhoni revealed the success of his recent batting form. Prior to the onset of the tournament, Dhoni had requested coach Fleming to promote him higher in the batting order. That decision is now yielding great results.

“Before the start of the IPL I spoke to Fleming and said to him I would like to bat higher. As I bat more and more, I can give you good returns and it was a gamble he took,” said Dhoni.

When Dhoni was asked what changes he has made to his game plan and his batting style, he replied, “Not a lot (of changes).”

But by the look of his strength and his hard-hitting ability, we can certainly say that he is spending a lot of time in the gym for sure.
