Quinton de Kock reached the 3,000-run mark in ODIs, way ahead of Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Adam Gilchrist, and Brendon Taylor.
He achieved this milestone while playing with Sri Lanka in the final ODI after smashing 109 runs of 87 ball in the Centurion Park and this was not the end of what his team achieved they also stood 1st in the ODI rankings after defeating Sri Lanka by 5-0 and conquering the series and registering such a wonderful win.
The 24-year-old Kock achieved the 3,000-run mark playing just 74 ODIs, way ahead of other wicketkeepers on the list – Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Adam Gilchrist, and Brendon Taylor.
While Dhoni and Gilchrist has got pass the 3000 run mark playing 90 and 95 ODI’s respectively
As a matter of comparison kock is an opener and Dhoni comes to bat down the order but nevertheless records are records and should be respected no matter from where and which part of the globe it comes.
