Cricket buzz states that India has announced their 15 Men squad for the upcoming 3 match ODI series against Sri Lanka which is going to get kick started on 10th of December at the wonderful venue, Dharamsala

 

As per the Virat Kohli News he has been rested for the series against Sri Lanka because just after concluding the series against Sri Lanka they need to fight up a long awaited battle with the South African’s

 

Cricket Buzz and Virat Kohli News states that Rohit Sharma will take over the reign of captaincy from being a vice captain of the side, against the Sri Lankans in the ODI’s

 

This is the very first time that Rohit Sharma will lead the team in an International match in the absence of Virat Kohli , it will be a very good experience for the lad to see things in a different way and to step in the shoes of the captain and feel the responsibility

 

 Mumbai batsman Shreyas Iyer who made his international debut against New Zealand in the T20I series and displayed glimpses of his potential has been called up in the ODI team and is likely that he will take Virat’s place in the batting order.

 

Indian team for the Sri Lanka ODIs:

Rohit Sharma (C), Shikhar Dhawan, Ajinkya Rahane, Shreyas Iyer, Manish Pandey, Kedar Jadhav, Dinesh Karthik, MS Dhoni (wk), Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Siddharth Kaul

 

The first match of the ODI series will be played at the HCA Stadium in Dharamsala on December 10, the teams will then travel to Mohali for the 2nd ODI on December 13 and the last match of the series is slated to be hosted by the ACA-VDCA Stadium in Vizag on December 17.
