The English all-rounder Strokes as we all know has created huge impact in his maiden IPL tournament for the Rising Pune Supergiant, he has contributed a lot in positioning his team to the 2nd spot

He was also awarded with the man of the series award because of his brilliant all rounded performance in the field and his contribution for the franchise is totally worth it

As he got the exposure of the game and the amount of his playing style that has grown while he was playing for the RPS, as of now he thinks that more and more English player should come up to participate in the league as the benefits are just unavoidable

“It’s not just the fact of playing in the tournament, it’s the exposure you get as a player. Playing in high pressure situations against all the best players in the world at what they do – guys bowling at 150kph and guys knocking it out of the park if you do not hit the areas you want to bowl,” Stokes opined.

Being the highest paid player, there was enormous amount of pressure on Stokes and every move of his was scrutinized, and even though he was slow to start the tournament, he hit his straps soon. Having MS Dhoni and Steven Smith in the same dressing room certainly helped him ease into the competition.

“To be part of a competition like that was an amazing experience – the biggest Twenty20 competition in world cricket – [as was] being able to share a changing room with the greatest players in the world, the greats of the game of cricket,” he said.

“I didn’t go into the tournament worrying about [the fee]. The biggest thing for me was making sure I left a good impression with my performances on the field. That’s what we pride ourselves on as cricketers. All the pressure I put on myself was wanting to perform on the pitch.”
