AB  De Villiers announce his retirement

Cricket News: De Villiers has been one of the greatest cricketers that the cricket world has ever seen, he has made his debut for South African in the year of 2004 and he has been an integral part for them in all the formats of the game, Now at the age of 34 he decided to hang up his boots from International cricket.

The South African batsman voiced: “It has been a very tough decision to make and I’ve thought long and hard about it but I believe it is my time to step down. A huge thank you to my teammates, Cricket South Africa and all the supporters who have been behind me both in SA and around the world,”

During his playing time with the South African team, his career has been canker by injuries and he couldn’t be solidified his spot in the national team, last year he made his test debut for South Africa after almost two years and played against Zimbabwe in the four days, day and night test.

After that the test series against India, then also he got injured in the middle of the series as he picked up a finger injury before the ODI series.

Right now recently he played for Royal Challenger Bangalore in the Eleventh edition of IPL, where he played some match-winning knock for the RCB,

His news of retirement will be a shocking news for South Africa as well as from the 7th July they will have their Sri Lanka tour for a test, ODI, and T20 series, and now they have to find an ideal replacement of him.

For the Proteas he has played 114 Tests, 228 ODIs, and 78 T20Is and got 8765,9577, and 1672 runs. And he also has 41 international hundred to his name.
