JACK TAYLOR TO CONTINUE TO PLAY FOR GLOUCESTERSHIRE

Gloucestershire all-rounder Jack Taylor to return to his bowling after England Cricket Board (ECB) lifted his ban on Wednesday.

 

Taylor, the 24-year player was suspended from further bowling as he was found to follow illegal actions while bowling for the second time in his career.

After the ban, he had to undergo remedial works on bowling. He was re-tested on 28 July and now the ban has been lifted with immediate effect by ECB.

Previously, Taylor was called in 2013 and was reported to miss the remaining season letting him to change his action of bowling with the help of ECB’s national academy and Gloucestershire in Loughborough. He was cleared to resume bowling from February 2014.

As a batsman, Taylor gained 602 runs in the Championship this season with an average of 43. His highest score of unbeaten 44 helped Gloucestershire to move to the top in the points table of NatWest Blast South .
