And it is not the first time that Warner is indulged in some sort of cold war of words with any player, and this time it is the Indian off spinner Ashwin who is under his scanner.

Warner told the media that he is fully charged up and has made a definite game plan which is specially to counterpart Ashwin and he also revealed that he has practiced his players in such a way as of to tackle Ashwin in the Indian tracks.

As we all know that Ashwin is very dangerous on the Indian tracks and leaps out a very little when it comes to the foreign grounds but as a whole he is one the most experienced and a person of class.

“I have to respect a player like Ashwin. He thinks like a batsman and I have to be disciplined against him,” Warner said on Wednesday (February 15). “I have a game plan for him – I have to bat against his strength. He is going to be ready for me and we both have to adopt to the situation. It’s going to be a great battle for the both of us. I have to bide my time,” he added.

Warner, however, showered praise on the Indian skipper Virat Kohli, who is in red hot form. “Virat Kohli is in the form of the decade. He is a fantastic player and a great sport,” Warner stated. “He is exceptional in all formats and he is taking the entire country on a journey. He wants the country to ride with him. Virat is frank and he calls spade a spade. Joe Root, Steve Smith, Faf du Plessis and Kohli thrive on responsibility. These young players are unstoppable. Virat is a great example of scoring big tons.”

Warner said that the sledging can rather spur Kohli on, who knows a thing or two about dealing with tricky situations. “Sledging can work both ways with Virat,” the Australian vice-captain noted. “Great players know how to deal with it. We have to find a way of getting into the opposition’s minds. It could be banter or field placements. It is actually playing your brand of cricket. Sledging or banter is just one of the ways to upset the opposition,” he concluded.
