SHAUN MARSH HAS BEEN RULED OUT OF THE SRI LANKA SERIES BECAUSE OF HIS BROKEN FINGER.

Australian cricket board today (Tuesday) confirmed that Shaun Marsh will not be playing the rest of the series against Sri Lanka as he has injured his left little finger.

Shaun Marsh came up with this injury in the 3rd ODI against Sri Lanka and as a result of this he will be staying out of the ongoing series and also the two T20s to be played thereafter, this injury gave the Australian team a great blow as they will miss one of the important player.

“Shaun suffered an injury to his left little finger whilst fielding in the match yesterday,” David Beakley, the team physiotherapist, said. “An x-ray after the match confirmed a fracture and Shaun will now return to Perth to allow time for this to heal.”

Usman Kawaja who was dropped after the 2nd test of the ongoing test series due to string of low scores has been called again by the board for replacing Shaun Marsh for the two T20s to be played on 6th and 9th of September respectively.

Australia is already leading the series 2-1 of the five match series, and the fourth ODI will be played in Dambulla on 31st of August (Wednesday).
