GOING BIG OR SMALL IS A PART OF GAME: ANIL KUMBLE

SPORTSLIBRO CRICKET- LATEST CRICKET NEWS

The head coach of India Anil kumble said that everybody big or small is bound to have a bad day in the field and we should learn from our mistakes to rectify it

As a matter of fact India lost seven wickets for 11 runs during a miracle second session on the second day, falling from 94 for 3 to 105 all-out, and conceding a massive 155-run first innings lead, which Australia made it to 298 by stumps.

The present scenario is that Australia has lost 4 wickets for 143 runs and will try hard to defend a good score when India comes in to bat, Aussies must be in a commanding position to hold back India from chasing it.

“It was disappointing. We were in a pretty decent position when Rahul and Ajinkya were batting out there. But once Rahul got out, we lost those four wickets in five or six balls. That certainty pushed us back,” Kumble said on Friday (February 24). “You are bound to have a bad day. One of those things where a couple of soft dismissals. It was unfortunate that once Rahul got out, we seemed to lose the bearing at that point of time.”

Steve O’Keefe bagged six vital wickets to his name which became very expensive from the India’s point of view and 4 wickets within a span of 5-6 balls is really very expensive from any point of view which costed India to settle down for 105 runs for the loss of 10 wickets, which will be one of the darkest hour in the history of cricket with so many guns not firing out for both the teams
